Therapeutic ultrasound is commonly used as an adjunct in the management of soft-tissue injuries including capsular, ligamentous, or musculotendinous inflammation.
Ultrasound is high frequency sound waves applied to the skin via a transducer which travels through your tissues to stimulate tissue regeneration, increase blood flow, produce changes in cell metabolism, softens fibrous tissues and scar tissue, and provide pain relief.
