Neck Pain
Similar to the rest of the spine, the neck or cervical spine contains bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles, nerves, and blood vessels, all of which can be the source of pain.
These structures can be stressed by poor posture, arthritis, disc disorders, injuries, and traumas such as auto accidents.
They can refer pain, numbness, or tingling to the upper back, shoulder, and arm. Tension headaches may also result from referred pain coming from the cervical spine region.
