Carpal Tunnel

Carpal tunnel syndrome typically creates burning, tingling, or numbness in the palm of the hand and the fingers, mostly the thumb, index and middle fingers.

The symptoms arise from compression on the Median Nerve as it runs through the carpal tunnel, a narrow, rigid passageway created by ligaments and bones.

The pain and numbness are usually more intense at night and may be present unilaterally or bilaterally. Some patients also experience a loss of grip strength making it difficult to grasp small objects or perform manual tasks.

Poor posture and repetitive activities may contribute to the condition.
